SureLC is a desktop software application that runs through the internet (like Microsoft Outlook) and relies on Adobe Reader in order to process contracting paperwork for your agents.  This page is designed to show you how to properly configure Adobe Reader to work properly with SureLC.  

Since SureLC relies on Adobe Reader, we're limited with auto-adjusting your Adobe Reader configuration settings due to the disjointed nature of SuranceBay's relationship with Adobe (we're completely different companies). Therefore, please follow the steps below and if you need any support from SuranceBay's team, please email us at support@surancebay.com.

If you are receiving an error, please refer to our Error Resolution page to resolve the error.  This page is designed to ensure your Reader setting are configured correctly, not to resolve errors.


Step 1Completely Close SureLC

These setting changes will not save if SureLC is still open. Please ensure that SureLC is closed before proceeding.


Step 2: Double Click on the Adobe Reader(not Acrobat) shortcut icon on your desktop, or click on your Start menu and look for Adobe Reader



Step 3: In the tool bar at the top, next to File, click on the Edit button.



Step 4: Click on Preferences from the drop-down option.



Step 5: In the new window that opened, on the left side menu please choose "Security (Enhanced)".          


Step 6a: Ensure that the check-box that says, "Enable Enhanced Security" is selected.

6b: De-Select the check-box that says, "Enable Protected Mode at Startup".  If you do not see this checkbox, please look under the "General" category. 


Step 7:  Accept the changes.



Step 8: Close Adobe Reader.

Step 9: Restart SureLC and proceed to log in.
